I tow with a Ford Galaxy and having just had my order delayed for my new car Ford have offered me a replacement model which they tell me has been fitted with the new Ford Blind Spot information system (BLIS). It apparently alerts you to a vehicle which is within 3 metres of the offside and nearside of your car (technically the blind spot) and a light in the corner of the wing mirrors lights up to warn you.
My concern is that this would be active all time when I am hitched up as it would think the caravan is a vehicle in the blind spot. Or maybe not??
Does anyone know or have experience of this system??
All help appreciated.
