If you know which make of towbar you have you can get a flanged ball assembly to replace the detachable section and I also believe the receiver for the detachable bar can be replaced with a fixed section.
Best to contact your local towbar fitters for a full answer.
If it is the standard Skoda one then it will be a Westphalia bar. To change that to a flange fitting ball type it would mean that the whole unit would need to be changed.
I've never seen the point of a detachable one. I lasy used one quite a few years ago, and it rattled. Also, I need the ball there, ready for use. I don't want to have to assemble something before I hitch up.
Did you have it reprogrammed? If you had that should have solved the problem. On my Yeti, when the van is plugged in the reverse sensors no longer work, nor the rear fogs on the car, plus the alarm senses if the van is unplugged and the Stability system sense any sway in the van and brakes accordingly..

More choice of aftermarket accessories for flanged towbars.
If the ball is worn its a lot cheaper than buying the bar for a detachable bar.
My towbar is a Westfalia on a VW. It is my second car with a detachable ball, and I would have no other. After 4 years, the last towball showed no measurable signs of wear, and will last many years if treated correctly.
The only thing you must do is have a dedicated fixing point for the breakaway cable; wrapping it around the towball is a no-no for a detachable ball.
