Any ideas on how to clean the 13pin sockets and pins on the electrics. we have a problem with ours as some of the pins are green coloured and we think we have a problem
is there any electrical spray cleaner we can get to clean the pins and sockets
appreciate your help please as the lord of darkness is thinking of taking to the dealers and getting new fittings but i think there must be an easier and cheaper option
You can get electrical contact cleaner-Maplins may have it. Alternaively use a small peice of fine wet and dry paper and gently clean them one at a time.

Modern plastics are not affected by oil based products, WD40 provides a non conductive film of oil once the solvent has evaporated & prevents corrosion. You can also use lubricated contact cleaner which does the same job. Non lubricated cleaner will clean but will allow corrosion again.
The ebay link states it only cleans 7pin plugs/sockets not 13pin.
I got electrical contact cleaner spray from Halfords. We used to have problems with 7 pin connectors. Touch wood, we have been ok since changing to 13 pin connections.

Good as this is, it is not suitable for 13 pin plugs.
