since you have worked and now a sales man for Vauxhall, i wonder if i could ask you this
We got the car a week before christmas and noticed on theback panel (that ypu open the car boot) but about an inch from the rear passenger side near the lights that there was a little split going upwards about 1 inch long, there is no dint at all so took it to the dealers and the motorbility man said that wasant there when we he checked it,( it was dark) that we must have had a bump, but we havant, it is too hight up, so can there have been a fault with the body work, he also said that we must have opened it and it split, but we havant ,we open always where you press under the badge to open it and pull it shut with the place for your hand. i have now been in touch with Vauxhall servies and they told me to get it checked in the service bit with the dealer where i got it, they will know if it is fault. the motorbility sales man said that we will have to fixed it thro insurance, which why should i when we not done anything !! so just wanted to know if you have heard of this before???? so it's being checked next monday

hi Ian,, i can understand what you are saying, but if like you said a trolly, it would hit the part thats sticking out like the bumper first, the tailgate goes inwards. it's really strange thought, no scuffs, dints, marks at all, i aM S PLEASED THEY ARE FIXING IT FOR ME, They are going to try and fix it without a new part first, so we will see how it goes, thanks for replying
