Well mine is a motorbility car, so anything that goes wrong with it i dont have to pay for, it was the cheapest deposit for a tow car, thats why we went for it.

Same as a company car driver, however the downside is all the messing around when taking cars in for fault after fault  after fault thats why my company ditched vauxhalls, we even had a few foc ones but still got rid. I actually liked my old vectra sri but as i said it was constantly in the garage

hI ANDYJACK

since you have worked and now a sales man for Vauxhall, i wonder if i could ask you this

We got the car a week before christmas and noticed  on theback panel (that ypu open the car boot) but about an inch from the rear passenger side near the lights that there was a little split going upwards about 1 inch long, there is no dint at all so took it to the dealers and the motorbility man said that wasant there when we he checked it,( it was dark) that we must have had a bump, but we havant, it is too hight up, so can there have been a fault with the body work, he also said that we must have opened it and it split, but we havant ,we open always where you press  under the badge to open it and pull it shut with the place for your hand.  i have now been in touch with Vauxhall servies and they told me to get it checked in the service bit with the dealer where i got it, they will know if it is fault. the motorbility sales man said that we will have to fixed it thro insurance, which why should i when we not done anything !!  so just wanted to know if you have heard of this before???? so it's being checked next monday

Pamela,
If you don't get a satisfactory conclusion with your Vauxhall dealer call the customer care centre on 0844 369 0112. I have some experience with Vauxhall cars, can you post a picture of the problem and I'll ask around to see if any of my colleagues have experienced the same problem. Either way please post after it is checked next week and report back what happens.

Nearly every taxi and private hire insignia owner has returned there's to the dealers, for being an utter nightmare, those that still have them cannot hand them back until half the finance is paid

They are as bad as a London TX4 taxi for faults,

London cabby's are now buying the Vito even though the rear wheel steer goes wrong sometimes but thats about the only thing that goes wrong with them

hi I've been again to the dealers and the vauxhall customer service had a really good luck he said that something has hit it, but i told him there is no trace of that, no dint or scuffs and that you cant see it when its clean, anyway he said he has never seen this before, but in the end he agreed to pay for it to be done. it is a mystery though as its in a strange place, you can see it more on the pictures i took because the car is dirty, we washed it after the photos was took and you cant hardly see it !!! i also want to say i went out when i saw them looking at it, and i wasn't wanted to be fobbed off, as i think  if i wasn't there, they might not have agreed to do it

Pamela, sorry for the late response. Having looked at an Insignia I'd have to agree with the dealer that it's most likey to be damage after delivery. All cars are checked by the dealers prior to accepting from the haulier, a PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) and I know from my job that damage of this type would be highly unlikely to be missed at the factory prior to shipping. The part is made from plastic which is likely to split if hit as in your pictures, and not dent. Without examining it personally it looks like a supermarket trolley type damage. Having said all that I'm pleased that the dealer was able to satisfy your complaint. Once again, sorry for the late reply but I didn't want to make a comment until I had seen a car and spoke to people at the factory where the Insignia is built.

Happy Touring/Camping/Towing!!!

Ian

hi Ian,, i can understand what you are saying, but if like you said a trolly, it would hit the part thats sticking out like the bumper first,  the tailgate goes inwards. it's really strange thought, no scuffs, dints, marks at all, i aM S PLEASED THEY ARE FIXING IT FOR ME, They are going to try and fix it without  a new part first, so we will  see how it goes, thanks for replying
