Ive a TD4 2002 freelander, I've been asked to tow my aunts caravan to a site where they are going to seasonal it. Its a bailey senator Arizona 2007 ive looked on what tow car, but they've only got a 2006 listed, they changed shape then. I want to know before I say yes will my car be able to, it won't be empty it will have their aqua rolls ect and awning.Im going to be taking it about 1hr 30mins up the road. I don't want to get pulled.
Thanks in advance
Donna :)

The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
When you go on the website 'whattowcar.com' you just put the details in of the caravan then when it gets to the last boxes just alter the the MTPLM, MIRO and payload according to the caravan then hit the 'GO' button. It should calculate the final answer by using the adjustments that you have entered.

Dont forget that 'whattowcar.com' always test every vehicle at its maximum tow weight
Does it? I never knew that, Tango I'll try and do that then, when I put in the 2006 one it comes out at 84%.... Off to do more numbers

The max tow weight for your car is 2tonnes so even if you are towing over 100% it will be legal & ok for a one off short distance tow. Just choose a calm day & drive carefully.
Thanks tentz, they don't want it moved until beginning of April :)
Thanks again all

Ah thanks audicab, that's great, all that's going in it is the porch awning, waste hog and aqua roll , so nothing really heavy.

No problem, I've had loads of help from people on here and so it's makes a change to return the favour.
I am still new to all this myself so the whole where to look thing is still fresh in the mind.
With just a few bits on board, or in the boot of your car I think you should be fine and probably under the magic 85% anyway.
Does anyone know of any hire companys where we can hire a vehicle to pull a Bailey Senator 7000 caravan? We kind of need to know fairly urgently cos we need to take it from Spalding to Devon before sunday.
