bev+jon I notice you tow a Pegasus 534 with your Mondeo. I have an Olympus 534 and a Passat 2.0 diesel 140 bhp. How do you manage re nose weight on your van? (see my post in towing and towcars section re olympus nosewight)
hi . just seen this, been away on holiday. we have the noseweight at max 80kg . or did , just stumbled on a chest of drawers at a bargain price.now it will need re-weighing and abit of jiggery pokery to keep to that figure now. we had issues when we first got the van as we loaded it up same as we had done previous vans , until i checked the n/w and saw 115kg !!!! takes a bit of faffing but an acceptable n/w is achievable
I like the Ford Mondeo cars but with me being disabled i cannot bend down to my lower limbs so being advice of my doctor only MPV"S Only . When we were away near Easter weekend.
We saw a 53plate Ford Mondeo Zetec Tdi towing a brand new Coachman Pastiche 460/2 , what is the match like for this
Because the jockey wheel was nearly touching the road and it was very low down at the back.
It had bikes on the roof .
A couple of years ago we went all the way down to devon with our caravan . we past a ford mondeo pulling a caravan and we put cruise control only at 58 mph .
By the way our car is a 2010 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 1.6 HDI Auto .and this went up hills with no trouble at all and it gave us a good return on diesel.
