I'm a Land Rover nut so I would be looking for a rust free Discovery or simillar the max towing ability of most Land Rover products excluding the Freelander is 3.5 ton and you would be able to pull 8 ton albeit illegal, making nose weight much less inportant.
I had a front tyre blow out on my Range Rover with the caravan on the back, it felt like an inconvenience rather than a problem, 2 years ago I had a caravan tyre explode on a motorway, it really made little difference, and could be handled without problem.
A lighter vehicle would have been in trouble in either situation.
Buy a Land Rover some Disco models have 7 seats if you need that ability.
Watch out for rust around the 3K range though.
