Chris W - again not sure I wanted to hear all that but thanks for reply.  I do think autos are not particularly good for towing as opposed to a manual but will plod on and see what happens this season.

Auto's are good but some do require additional gearbox oil coolers to be fitted.

The extra heat from the gearbox is dumped into the engine cooling system. So it raises the engine running temperature.
