We are changing our main two car to our new Honda CRV, however I will still be towing with my current company car on occasions.
This has lead me to a problem, obviously the number plate on the van HAS to match the one on the towing vehicle. So my question is, is there a holder where you can easy swap over two plates depending on the towing vehicle, or does anyone else have another solution? Velcro?
I used Velcro for years and never had any problems except when I first used it and used too much so that it made it difficult to swap the plates over. Four or six smallish pieces should be ample if you clean both surfaces well the self adhesive on the Velcro will bond.

Hi CandP, As in Jeff’s post, you can also get them in chrome, from car accessory shops.
Just a wee note:
You may find it difficult to get the company car number plate made without the original log book or a letter of approval from company stating that (your name) have been granted permission for the plate to be made, the letter also has to have the car reg. number and the document registration number from the log book. Apparently the number plate maker can be fined £2000 by the DVLA also lose their licence and are held responsible for that plate for 5 years if they make up the plate without the relevant paper work.
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.

You can get number plates of ebay with no proof required just fill your car reg in then make your payment
believe the plate must also contain the makers name by law.
Reading the original post they will already have a number plate for the company car, also buying plates through the post the maker should still ask for the relevant documents and then send them back when the plate is made.
Even on ebay if you are buying a legal plate they will want the documents before sending the plate, you get all the details once you have paid.Just bought one for my Convoy
Obviously not if you only want a show plates but if you want to give a bored copper something to do fair enough,i ride a bike and it's the first thing they look at.
