if you are travelling overnight friday expect queues at bristol then saturday at the end of the dual carriageway at temple before bodmin.I you are on the way back and hit the queue before bodmin it is worth considering the A38

We go to Pentewan several times a season & we always go via the A30. Having said that, we're always through a lot earlier than you plan going. We also travel home on Friday evenings to avoid the traffic queue at Temple on Bodmin. That one short section of single carriageway is the only stumbling block on the A30.

Why stop overnight, do the run in 3 parts

Pentewan, is only another hour and a half from Exeter

I would not try and go anywhere on a Friday, its the worst day of the week to travel,

On the way home where the M5 joins the M6 is a nightmare

Wait until Sat and there will be hardly any trucks on the go
