for 9k you will easily get a pre march 06 grand cherokee, they are an excellent tow car just make sure the diffs are not noisey as they cost a fortune to sort properly, other than that electrical gremlins are the only major bugbear and will pull anything you put on the back of it.They are listed as being capable of towing 3 tonnes and i have seen them pull this with no issues and still return 26mpg. they are a lovely car to drive when used in daily commutes and go like buggery when pushed.I am a little biased though as i work for a jeep dealer..lol but i would have one and i was a jap man for many years.
