hi campers, thinking of changing my car for a 1.7ecoflex zafira 110 or 125 bhp if any one out there has one would you recommend.looked at the tow weight and its good for what i tow but like to know what you all think. many thanks.

I towed a Pageant Bordeax (1345 MTPLM) with a 1.7 (125hp) Zafira last year. Towed it beatifully. I wouldn't go for the 110 hp version.

The zafira 1.7 ecoflex both 110 and 125 bhp models cannot tow above 1300kg so your Bordeux would have been to heavy for this model if loaded to its full weight

Both Parkers , Whatcar and the Caravan Club outfit matching service all list the ecoflex 1.7 110 & 125 bhp models as having 1300kg max tow .
They cant all be wrong
The Zafira's are built on an Asta Platform so there not up to pulling heavy caravans

My figures suggest 1300kg also.

My 1.7 Zafira was an SRi and wasn't an ECOFLEX. As per the 1.9 CDTi, this engine variant is no longer available due to the emmisions.

The current 1.7's, as you say, can only tow 1300kg
