We have brought a brand new 2012 Seat Altea XL SE TDI DSG 5 Door only five days old , the next thing is a Towbar & Twin Sockets cannot wait to try out with our Caravan ( 2008 Bailey Discovery Mercury Laded 1130kg) this should be a good match.

If you read the corresponding Seat manual that comes with the vehicle, I think you will find that the advice is to run 1,000 miles on the clock before you tow any trailer or caravan. I would definately check first because you could well invalidate the vehicle warranty should anything go wrong.

Actually you are right that is why we are not towing until the end of Sept and i check everything off to make sure this was ok with Seat and they were fine about it This weekend we go and see my brother who lives around trip of 250miles.
