Yes it can tow a small one. The max tow weight should be in handbook but for safety & reasonable road performance I would stick to caravans below 750kg all up weight.

1.7 diesel? You sure?

What model and year?

Depending on the year and engine you maybe looking at the tiny teardrop type caravans or the small freedom caravans.

Probably forget anything over 10ft.

BUT. It depends on the exact engine, year and model.
