no only security is checked fully on MOT at the moment as not all garages have the right equipment to check wires.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
7 pin sockets fridge doesnt work so no power on both I asume, checked the two 15amp fuses in the car which are ok so either a broken wire/bad connection or a relay
the caravan is fine I connected it to a neighbours car and it worked ok
we had a problem one weekend with no lights coming on when connected to the van. Even took car to local dealers and connected it up to another van (did ask permission first) As we'd only had the towbar fitted in December last year we got called them up to come and check the electrics for us. Turns out it was the fuse for the car electrics as expected but the guy who'd fitted it had put the fuse part in the back of the car so we wouldn't have been able to sort it ourselves. Luckily the guy who came to fix it moved it to the front passenger side and left us some spare fuses too. When you say you checked the fuses, which ones did you check?

The same happenned to me last year. I damaged one of my red/white marker lights on the side of the caravan thinking it was only the lens that had broke. I touched the bulb to replace it and fused the blinking lot. Couldn't get anything to work at all and with a journey of over 120 miles back home decided to call out the AA to investigate. Even the AA rescue man could'nt identify the fault even with the sophisticated box of tricks he had so he called the towbar fitter back home asking about the wiring installation and where the fuse holder was. It turned out that the fuse holder was incorporated within the twin electrics wiring loom that was hidden behind one the rear car lights in one of the panels. He searched through different various coloured spaghetti wiring and eventually found the blade fuse. He replaced the fuse but immediately shorted out again so he had to insulate the damaged marker light just to get me home until I could get a replacement light unit. He replaced the fuse for a second time and everything was working this time. I did replace the whole light unit a few days after but at least it was a lesson learned knowing exactly where to look next time for the fuse so it's worth a look to see if there is a hidden fuse somewhere in the vehicle's rear light panels.
