Hi Spring assistors will not stop the boucing as there are only there to stop the back end bottoming out when you have a full car or have the caravan on the back. To stiffen the suspension you need to look at the MAD stuff listed above. It may just be down to how you have loaded the van or the tyre pressure. Make sure that you are not putting heavy stuff to the back and check you nose weight. I had spring assistors fitted to my last car and they are good in my opinion at what they are designed for. My issue was that the back end dropped too low and simple things like getting over speed bumps were a problem due to the jocky wheel catching. Good Luck! Cheers Richard

MMMmmmm. I reckon that when the suspension is fixed (hopefully correctly by the dealer and at no cost whatever to you) that should be that. My B-I-L has had Citroens in the past with hydropneumatic suspension and this should stay level either empty, full of passengers and luggage, and/or towing - that is what it is designed for. Shouldn't need assisters.
Wish I could get Monroe Load Levellers, but not available for my car. Currently using the Graystons, perfect as they are the same ones I had for my old Focus and Rover - just kept them. On an old Renault 20TS I had years ago I had Auto Ballans inside the springs, fed by air pressure from a perfectly serviceable Volvo compressor which had been replaced as part of a complete kit on a car in our dealership where I was working. All that was wrong was one of the suspension units and we had to order a complete kit, so I had the compressor, lines, and the control for in the car. Sweetness itself - hook up the caravan, select 'up' until the outfit was level and away we go. Arrive on site, select 'down' after unhitching and a nice hiss and the car level again. Happy days.
