Is it a stabiliser hitch?

Single red handle on the side or Twin handle thats fixed to both sides?

Alko hitches..

Which one?

If it is a stabiliser one you need the alko flanged ball which has more clearance around the next.

This only applies to flanged towballs though, Swan neck or detachable balls are OK.

They are much of a muchness.

With a bit of planning they can all be easily overcome if your determined enough.

Bulldog, Milenco, Purpleline, SAS, Pyramid etc..

Avoid the cheapy cheapy ones, Like the ones that use a disclock. Little protection and you can learn howto open them on yourtube...

The dedicated lock doesnt seem to do well either, Mines still in the box. Never even tried it.

I use the purpleline locks. Saracen hitchlock and Nemesis wheelclamp.

With these fitted and the fact most of the vans near mine are newer, I hope will keep the thieves away.

No point fitting as £1000 hitchlock when all they do is clamp 2 plates around it and tow it off with the lock still attached.
