Has anyone tried making there own tow bar mounted bike carrier?

I bought one that clips onto the towball for under £20 delivered. Takes seconds to fit.

Unless you have access to the metal for free and can weld then it maybe cheaper to buy one.

Dont forget if you using it when towing the weight of the bikes and carrier count towards your noseweight.
