As I said a few posts ago, Coachman will definitely not allow towing by pickup, vans or other vehicles that don't have coil springs.
I am sure this is the case with other manufacturers, and I think quite a few pickup users would have a nasty surprise in the event of a warranty claim.
around the fife area there are a few traveler sites, most have vans and 4x4 pickups.the men run about with there sign written vans, funny that all do roofing repairs and tree surgery. women run around in there pickups

Jeff YES! You make a very good point ( I'm shocked lol, only joking) I too have see big motorhomes with hire this with jalopy MH ( ok I made that name up) but you don't get them being kicked off site, it comes down to the traveller image I think....or the fact my BIL bakes hedghogs on the BBQ

------------- "I'm a fool for my dogs"
Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
We have been turned away at one site about 6 years ago despite informing them of our vehicle prior to booking as to their conditions, we've never had this problem before or since, our vehicle at the time was a Citroen Xantia 1.9 diesel that was signwritten with the taxi company name I was working for at the time, luckily we managed to get a pitch elsewhere, we currently have a Xsara PIcasso also plated as a hackney and signwritten.
I know I can't name and shame but we have never booked there since and never will.
(Great Yarmouth, not far from Asda and the train station)
we've had our nissan navara double cab for nearly nine years now and we've never been turned away from any sites, these kind of vehicles are so popular now anyway and the travellers tend to drive mercs or beemers, must be some money in that tree cutting game !!.
glad ive got a station wagon landy, its definatly not a comercial, although that annoys the blokes at the tip, cos they have to come and open the height barrier, I try to go on a wed or sat now when vans are allowed and the hight barrier is open anyway.
