Hi all,
Got everything ready to set off on the first trip of the year, and found the right hand indicator wasn't working. After various tests the problem was discovered to be the indicator buzzer - the wires going into it were partly melted and the buzzer itself had fried.
I replaced it, assuming that it must've just been a faulty buzzer (it's worked fine for a year since the towbar was fitted) and it worked OK for a while but has now failed again. I haven't taken the car apart to check if the new buzzer has also melted - but I suspect it may have done.
So the question is, what's causing this? It is a serious problem with the car electrics, or something more simple?
