I dont think it matters what your experience is ,it can sometyimes be what other users do that affect your journey .Personally having seen the news on tv I would be thinking about advice if I was travelling through affected areas having had to go out and be blamed for all the hold ups while gritting/ploughing or clearing up after vaccidents because it always the road workers fault that youve had to be held up

Just came up the A68 from Darlington towards Corbridge..popular route to scotland.Deep snow lying on the higher bits of Co. Durham and strong easterly winds causing drifting. Snow-ploughs working to clear at 4 pm.
