I drive a 4x4 and would never drive anything else (I just love 'em) BUT just 'cos you got 4 wheel drive dosen't mean you can happly charge through snow drifts, across ploughed fields and over the Shara.......you still have to learn just how to drive the things properly or you WILL get very disapointed very quickly. AND I won't mention the correct tyres at all. By the by......the only thing that will be happy on ice is a Warrior tank. 4x4 mud GREAT. 4x4 ice not so great.

No good if you dont know how to drive one, its all well and good buying one to get your lightweight van of some damp grass, because you dont know how to get off in a normal car, but unless you have actually been on a 4x4 course forget buying one, as you become a danger to everyone and yourself.

It has also been proven you will injure yourself more in an accident

Absolutely agree with Bob & also everything else he says about Skodas, taken in the context of this pointless troll thread......

 

 

What a load of rubbish, our Sorento meets all the safety requirements and is very car like to drive.

If you want to drive off road it is worth doing a course or joining a 4 x 4 club. We used to off-raod, green lane an old S3 then a Rangie, its great fun.

But you need good tyres!

Oh by the way Skoda make the Yeti, Octavia and Superb in 4 x 4 models n'est ce pas?

Guess that is conveniently overlooked?

At the end of the day its personal choice, we will not tow with anything else.
