I see Vauxhall have just launched the "Adam" Seat have a "Leon" Renault have a "Megan(e)" Nissan have their "Cash Cow" Kia have the "Cee apostrophe D", Ford had a Focus group that were so desperate for an early finish they came up with the "Focus" and before that, they simply named their cars after their favourite "gentleman's" magazine, "Escort" and "Fiesta" although they abandoned this policy before launching the Ford Big Jugs fortunately. Although Renault did pick up the baton with their "Shake your li'l ass" advertising campaign for the Megane.

Even Citroen named a car after Sir Clive Sinclair's ill fated C5 electric death trap.

Just how stupid can they get?

The Vauxhall "Nova" had to be rebadged as Opel "Kadett" in Spain.

Don't forget Rolls Royce's "Silent Ghost" was named after a fart.

Funny I thought it was rebadged as Opel Corsa and the Kadett name was for the Astra

The 'Adam' makes me giggle after watching a TV documentry about products available on the 'Love Hunny' website. At the time, my daughter was dating a lad called Adam who was built like the proverberal 'Brick Sh*te House' a really big heavy guy, and we always teased her that this product must have been modelled on him!

Needless to say I doubt he would have been able to fit into the car with the same name!

Our youngest is convinced that we named her after the Renault Savannah, although she was actually born the year before they were launched!

Perhaps they took their inspiration from beer producers, I wonder if these people are even more creative?

Cripple Cock: Pump clip with image of chicken with broken leg.
Norfolkingood: Good geer brewed in Norfolk.
Lurcher Stout: Pump clip with image of falling over dog.
Mochamoggy: Coffee flavored beer from Fat Cat brewery.
Tanglefooot: Obvious.

These are just the ones that immediately sprang to mind, I'm sure there are many more to amuse and entertain..

Ever wondered what the 'Green Winged Arrow' means?

Found the following information in the book '100 Years Automotive History' that I got at the Škoda Museum:

Green represents environment protection, recycling and environmentally friendly production.

The large circle – symbolises global production.

Wing – technical progress, world-wide sales.

Arrow – advanced production methods, quality production.

Small circle or eye – precision production, technical awareness, vision.

Now you know, it says it all! of course there have been other badges.

Lase year, we turned up by accident at White Horse Edwardstone for their Dark Ales Daysbeer festival. We were so bowled over by modern, hand crafted dark beers have booked up again for this year. 1st weekend in May if you are interested.

as bad as car names are, and they are bad. names hit rock bottom when naming the caravan --- AVANTE for one, i think it means forward, in french. WHY.?

I just wish Ford had carried their tradition of jazz mags. I can't stop thinking the Ford "Men Only" would have outsold the "Mondeo"

I know someone who had a sticky letter 'T' and covered it over some car names merely as a joke and then took a photo of it. The one was a Citroen 'Crosser' and covered the 'C' with the 'T' and the other was a Renault 'Clio' and covered the 'O' with the 'T'. The ladies didn't find it very funny though.
