Well we towed with our new Antara 2.2 cdti this weekend and what a joy it was, apart from being stuck on m6 for 1.5 hrs on good friday. Our van is 1300kgs fully laden, and we travelled at 1255kgs. The Antara returned between 23 - 26 mpg towing, without the cruise control enabled, and all in 5th gear as 6th seemed to use more fuel, as indicated by onboard computer. So not too bad me thinks, and better than imagined.
I know others have recently bought the antara so i hope this helps some.
We towed with ours this past week-end as well. Really smooth ride, went up the hills a breeze. We were pleased with mpg, dropped for a while with head wind, down to 24mpg but cruising at 50mph with slight inclines we were averaging around 30mpg. Also loved being higher up and having a nose into other peoples cars!!!!

------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Don't forget 0% finance on the Antara, would be rude not to buy!!!! Just arrived in Suffolk, very windy so we stuck to 50mph.......and got 31mpg!!!!!!!
