The missus has her heart set on a Adria Sportline DT, which has a MTPLM: 1300kg.
We currently have a 2006 Fiat Doblo 1.9 Multijet (120bhp) which has a Maximum Permissible Towing Mass (MPTM) of 1300kg & a max tow ball weight of 60kg.
The 'Witter' software in the caravan retailer gives us 'three green lights', but will this be a struggle? I could really do without the hassle of buying a new car too.
If you already have a tow-bar fitted, proof will be in first tow,but i suspect stability will be the issue.I think you would be better off with a Hyundai Tucson or Kia Sportage.
You might struggle to get caravan down to 60kg noseweight with normal gear loaded. Caravans are designed to run at noseweight suited to their weight & this one should be around 80-90kg. I guess you would be unable to tow caravan before you buy so be prepared to buy more suitable towcar if necessary if you do buy.
We have an adria 542dt (with most but not all of the sportline features) The measured nose weight has always been 80kg (even when just collected with nothing of ours In it) so too much for your cars limit I'm afraid.
