New to caravaning,taking van out for 1st time tomorrow.
I am now in a flap as I have been told I need towing mirrors?
Is it a legal to tow without?
Which type do I need for a 2013 Passat estate.
Any help would be greatly received.

Yes you must have them and be able to see down both sides of the caravan.

Yes you absolutely must have towing mirrors even with a 4 x 4 we have them

Milenco Aero mirrors are very good, 2 clamps hold them on between the glass and mirror top, sturdy and vibration free. As said you need to see down the side of the van, have a look at the link below

Thanks for the advice. Looks like trip a trip to Wandahome / Halfords in morning.Don't fancy £1000 fine and points.
