I recently got a speeding fine from one of a speed trap van for doing 35 in a 30 limit.
Anyway, the point of my thread is:
Be advised that if you see a speed trap van on the 'other' side of the road with the front pointing towards you, do not assume that they are only checking traffic coming TOWARDS the rear where the radar gun is pointing out. The system is checking speeds both coming towards it AND passing traffic going away.
down here in devon they have the one camera which points out the rear, but can do vehicles going away aswell as towards them.
they can also get motor bikes coming towards the speed camera, and then video the number plate as the bike goes past.
