Another old chestnut, ok for older diesels that originally ran on high sulphur diesel, adding 2stroke oil makes diesel more 'oily' to compensate for modern low sulphur diesel so kinder to pump bearings & also raises cetane number which improves running.
Modern diesels have fuel system moving parts designed for low sulphur diesel & ecu's adjust for low cetane numbers so probably not advisable to add to modern diesels.
