My cars getting on and was wondering if anyone knows a company who can tow the caravan to our holiday destination for us? I cant afford a new car and just thinking if anyone wants to earn a few quid?? Cheers all

Location, Destination and towing weights would help.

How new is the caravan? What about the insurance?

Needs towing from Highbridge Somerset to Weymouth, 22 ft long weight at mo is 1306....have to check for sure on that and yes insured.

Is it insured if someone else tows it though? Someones car policy wont cover damage to the caravan.
Check your policy wording, Unless your willing to take the risk of it not being covered.

The gross laden weight is the important figure also, Not just the unladen or MIRO.

There are lots of people offering this service but they won't do it for "a few quid". They will be using large 4 x 4s to cover all prospective jobs. They have to get from where they are to where your caravan is, tow it then return to base. then they have to repeat the excercise to get you home. They need liability insurance and all sorts of other costs which will reflect in the charge to you.

If you are looking for a non professional tow then I wouldn't do it (either tow or be towed). In the event of things going wrong the consequences can be horrendous.

you are better off hiring a caravan in Weymouth.

Better still, time for a new car that's capable of towing your rig. Probably be cheaper in the long run than paying people to move your van for you every time you want to use it.
