Who has told you it is not able to tow? There should be info on your V5c down near the bottom of the page giving towing weights etc. Also check Whattowcar, just one of a few websites giving towing info by vehicle/'van/trailer. If the car is type-approved for towing, there will be a caravan suitable, even if you have to stick to a small one.
To give you an idea, years ago, we used to go caravanning with OH's sister and her hubby. Our first one was a 70s Musketeer which we towed with a Renault 20TS. Their outfit was a Volvo 340 petrol (they were powered by the Renault 12TS engine) with a lovely little red and white caravan, can't remember the make/model. But they were able to keep up with us on our trip up into North Wales.
Good luck, and if you can, go for it!
