I am surprised at how many towers think it is fine, to admit that they are unable to manouvre their car and caravan.
Wether new to towing or being doing it for years, really there should be an element of confidence/competence before setting out.
Being able to carry out simple manoeuvres should be an absolute minimum requirement. Imagine the worst and not being able to reverse out of a situation.
Why do these people think its fine to not be able to do it then it be fine because they are new to it????
Although it doesn't look busy in the picture, the driver doesn't know if a huge convoy of trucks might suddenly appear who have run out of driving hours and need the spaces! And don't the services employ parking attendants who would issue a charge notice for the inconsiderate parking/taking up 2 spaces? Maybe they just issue tickets through CCTV surveillance so the driver might get a shock when they return home anyway!
I've seen motor homes ticketed in car parks because they have taken 2 spaces but only paid for one, surely the same would apply here?

If I was a bit younger I would join the police so i could get people who park like that banged up for a few months. Just because they are on holiday they think they can park willy nilly when there are nice straight white lines to obey.
If I was the lorry driver I would have demanded that they correct the parking so I could have parked next to them as close as possible with the engine left running, the fridge motor running and the radio on full blast, that would have taught the lazy blighters a lesson. Mind you I do that anyway.
Bad attitude from a self righteous idiot, with all the bad things happening around the world with innocent people being killed this is all that makes your blood boil, you obviously need something to worry about you imbecile.
Sorry about my previous post, I hadn't studied the photo enough. Now that I have calmed down a bit after a nice week in the van at Ingleton (smashing CL there) I realize that I was possibly a bit hasty in my condemnation of the poor unfortunate pilloried on this forum.
On closer inspection it appears that the owner of the outfit in question has done an outstanding job of parking, the car is in one parking bay and the caravan is in another, two vehicles in two parking spaces, perfect.
If the owner of the outfit is reading this please be assured that my blood did not really boil and that in reality I could not care less that you have outraged a large section of this forum. Keep enjoying your holidays, the next object of (attempted) ridicule could be me.
PS I have never seen an HGV in a caravan parking slot.
