Nice one for the Superb, pity the Octavia came in at No 7, however in 2014 when the new Octavia Estate 4x4 is available, that will be in the top spot as well as the 2014 Towcar Award winner.17

....& good to see both Discovery & Range Rover in there, these practical & economical cars are popular with buyers across the board. Most will be very disappointed though to find the hated Renault actually makes it into this top 10 although tbf the writer does apologise for this. Creeping in there at 10 is the Ford Galaxy, probably the most practical of all of the top 10 in regard to variable proportionate passenger/load carrying capabilities, but hey! its only a survey. Not real life.

How practical is a car almost 16ft long and over 6ft wide if you live in a city? why not buy a transit type van with a double row of seats and be done with it

I was walking between buildings at work and spied a beautiful looking large metallic grey estate on the car park. I thought it was a Merc but no, it was a Superb. Very impressive.
