Once you have owed with the V70 you will be spoilt with others, the V70 is a great towcar, though off off hand not knowing the max gross weight you may or may not be legal to tow with it.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Yes, it's a lovely tow car, but is dying a bit at the minute - it's got 140k miles on it. We really need a 4x4 but are quite limited with our choices as we are both post 1997 licence holders.
We've had a Rav in the past and loved it, but we had a much lighter van. Struggling to find many other 4x4 that give us the correct weights. Nissan X Trail is a possible, but some models are overweight for us.
