Check the Kerb Weight of the vehicle, found in the handbook, and can be crossed refrenced to the weights given on the plate found on the car as these figures are also somtimes mentioned in the car handbook along side the given Kerb Weight.
Then with the given Kerb Weight say 1300kg or so, work out 85% of that figure so 1,105kg would be the perfect match, and going upto 1,235kg would take you to 95% not ideal and not recomended but still legal, anything beyound 95% I would not even consider but some do.
Does anyone tow with this model of Focus: 1.6tdci,110bhp, 2010 Hatchback.Would just like to know how it performs / handles when towing within its permitted weights. I will be towing around 1000kg.

Hi , we had the 2.0 ltr TDCI 2006 estate and it towed like a dream, this has the 136 hp engine, and we pulled our Adria with it, i know its not the 1.6 ltr TDCI, but any little help is worth while. We changed to the Volvo V70 estate 2.0 Ltr (same engine) and still consider the focus the better tow car for our van.

Hi TrigGLX..thanks for replying I think it will tow quite well given the weight I will be towing, as Grampain91 and Francais have said its within the recommended limits.
