We dropped our van back at storage at south Brezel, and once getting back onto the Exeter road, we saw a twin axel van with a double blowout on the OS, strips of rubber all over the road, looks like you managed to get it into a layby and from the quick look as we were passing both alloys were shot.

What happened to get it like that???

I would guess driving with under inflated tyres

I have come accross debris of all sizes on the motorway over the years, from a 2 inch thin strip of metal that punctured my rear tyre on one of my bikes a few years ago to a big 3 foot long bag or box in the inside lane of the motorway that vehicles were having to brake sharply and swerve around around 2 weeks ago and big tyre carcass and plastic wheel arch from a lorry a couple of days ago (the lorry in this latter case was parked a couple of hundred yards up the road)

I work on the motorways and there is very little you can name that we have not picked up. It is quite common on lorries for one blow out to cause the other tyre on twins to blow out.

used to be remoulds that caused a lot of debris,lorries have recut tyres that explode with punctures.
My caravan tyre pressures are 65 psi,so would imagine they could leave a lot of debris after a blowout
