i was howling with laughter, when clarkson finally pulled up with the 'remaining' bit of c'van i nearly died - so funny! typical top gear pi$$ take......
the mazda and tiguan came out as very capable motors though....
Where did the idea that caravanners spend lots of time at the dump come from? I know it's a joke but normally there is some kernel of truth to start a joke off...
Impressed how well those cars did off-road but also how well the caravans lasted - I thought they'd fall apart well before they did
Admittedly, that's the first Top Gear story I've felt a little aggrieved at - when they asked why we would buy a Honda CRV over a mechanically-identical Honda Civic. We know it's because of the extra weight of the CRV needed to pull a van but the story suggested we are just buying earth-destroying cars (Daily Mail readers opinions, not mine ) for no reason, which was a tad annoying.

I found it hilarious. However, my OH was so dejected at the possible adverse publicity for caravanning, plus the idiocy of all the contents of the 'vans spilling everywhere that she could not watch it. "It's a TV show!" I cried. No good, she was not impressed. I, on the other hand, marvelled at the way the caravans handled on the Stig's test laps.
Very entertaining all round.

I was impressed with the cornering speed the Stig managed to achieve towing that "Crappy" old caravan I would like to see how fast he could lap a brand new van !
