Hi to all,
          Please can anyone give me some good advice we have decided to go for a caravan been in between motorhome/caravan.

Please could anyone give advice on the best tow bar to fit I am in Burnley Lancs looking to have fit this week I am on holiday.

look in phone book and phone the tow bar fitters. there are loads of different types of bars on the market.all comes down to price/availability/and quality.some cheeper bars are lighter in weight but they must all be of a certain standard for safety. i personally prefer witter think they are over engineered and very strong

I used to fit my own, always found Witter to be good quality. Our Kia has Witter, fitted by a specilaist who does work for most main dealers in our area.

Any tow-bar, no matter how strong, is only as good as the person who fitted it. Recommendation from another caravanner is usually pretty good. One good thing is that once fitted, the bar is subject to inspection during your cars MOT

All towbars are manufactured to a European standard which ever brand you buy so buying a 'Witter' towbar you are just paying through the nose for the brand name very much you do with any dealers name on a product. What I have noticed is that some towbars are only primed just to cover the steel whereas others are powder coated or painted which of course will reflect the price. The ones that are just primed will start showing signs of surface rust within two years of fitting and the towbar now comes under the MOT test so it's best to enquire what type of paint finish the towbar has. The one I had fitted was manufactured by Tow-Trust which you can have despatched and get a local fitter to install it and connect the required electrics.

I had advance towing fit my tow bar on my zafira 2 weeks ago and is a Witter and Twin sockets for £229 all in, Give them a shout as been recommended on here a few times and im 100 happy.
