I've got Green flag cover, but as you say, that's something else I need to think about.....

Unless, what about these after market warranty things?
Would they be any good?

After market warranties have a long list of exclusions, I have one for our runabout (Peugeot 207) and it seems to exclude most things other than AA roadside rescue engine and gearbox they can be costly , mine was £299, dealer originally asked for £399.

GCMS...if you go through a large dealer network(I,m assuming you dont want a brand new one!)..they can have the car transported between branches for a reasonable price.If you see something that suits your requirements -it should have a full description and condition report which they will print out for you--they can have it brought to your nearest dealership at your cost which is deductable from the purchase price should you complete the deal.As an example..I paid £70 to have a zafira brought up from the midlands to gateshead because it ticked all the boxes for me..I then viewed and tested it--and bought it.The transfer is at your expense-but I would assume if the car isnt as described they couldnt really keep your money.Has to be worth asking the question?.If you were looking for a brand new one--have a look at Great Wall pick-ups...I wasnt convinced by a little heard of chinese entry into our market..but after seeing the prices!!! and a little bit of research--WOW! could be just what youre looking for.It seems like everbody south of the equator drives one!
