Hmmm. 160bhp from a 3.2 diesel. Mpg - awful. Perhaps you ought to upgrade to a decent 4x4 Mitsu. with half the engine size yet almost the same power   ... but then I would say that!

As someone has already posted everyone will have a different view. I tow with a 2010 santa fe Premium:

194 BHP / 422 NM torque.

Can get 40 mpg (38 mpg easily) solo on a long journey. HAve never calculated mpg when towing.

Paid £21500 new, couldn't find a find a 7 seat 4x4 of this size any where near this price (The Sorento is comparable but I don't think the 7 seater was available when I bought the Santa Fe).

Santa fe 2010, I reset my trip computer before towing 140 miles, although this was mainly A roads with a bit of dual carriageway - it did 28mpg.

I have the two ton tessiecan very pleased with her but,if I could afford it,the Toyota Land cruiser Amazon has no equal,used to drive one in the middle east,great fun in the sand dunes
