We went away last week and the fridge started making a continuos rapid clicking noise after a few days of been on. it came from behind the main on switch (GAS, 240v, 12V) I turned it off and left it for 5 mins then turned it back on and it was fine. Today I have turned the fridge on at home and nothing is happening on any of the settings. Im assuming its the switch, is their a way of checking the switch or overiding it to see if it works. If not can yo uget new switches for them.
Thanks again for your help in advance.

It sounds like the gas ignition running, if it's like ours it has a push button switch, perhaps it stuck on after being pushed accidentally or the wire terminals on the switch touching intermittently when warm?

I think it may be a relay on the PCB when the gas lights it is a click every second or so, this was a very rapid almost buzzing sound, just found the PCB part number and a new one is £172 WTF

Ouch!! that's a bit savage, are you sure that you really need one or can you put up with the noise? What make of fridge is it?

I think you would be better posting this in the repairs section rather than towing, it will get more views/replies.

before you buy a board, have a close look at the plugs that go to the board, there are a few plugs, just wiggle the plugs and see what happens. might just be a bad connection.

Cant believe how stupid I have been. purchased the new board and fitted it, still nothing, then rechecked the fuses and found that the clip the spade fuse fits in was loose and not making a connection. squeezed it together and it works fine. now got a £145 board I didn't need
now that my senior moment at 44 years old has passed I am off to ebay.
