Hello all. I am having a problem with the towing electrics on my recently bought 1967 Sprite Alpine.

When connected to my towing vehicle with the 12N, the rear lights and brake lights work fine on the van. However, when I switch on the left indicator, both of the indicator lights on the van come on - like hazard lights. Also the bleeper sounds (which apparently it should).

However, with the right indicator on, no indicator lights come on at all. No bleeper either.

In both cases, the indicators work fine on the towing vehicle itself.

I know that the problem lies with the caravan as I have connected up a light board to my car and the light board indicators work fine. I have looked at the wiring inside the plug on the van, and everything is in the right place.

Has anyone else come across anything similar before?

Brakes and rear lights work fine. It's just the indicators that are giving me a problem.

To answer grampian's question, the yellow wire -LH indicator - is in pin number 1 and the green wire - RH indicator is in pin number 4
