Can anyone Help me I have just got my very 1st Caravan and now looking for an owners Manual and or repair manual Anyone know where I can get some towing tips If your around worcestershire West mids especially
I talked my sister into buying a caravan, I picked it up and on the way back i pulled into the services and handed her the keys and said off you go then.
A few miles of fairly straight motorway to ease the nerves. I said just stick behind a lorry doing 56mph.
No need to overtake, No rush. Slow down with going down the hills where the caravan wants to push you down.
Power up the hills no problem. But slowly on the way down.
The greater the cars weight to the caravan the better. What are you towing it with? Worked out the towing ratio?
Just take your time. Enjoy the journey. Dont get flustered or panic.

Cheers for that I am towing a 4 berth Alpine sprite 1989 and will be driving a 2008 Renault Scenic Grand
Brilliant, that is exactly what I have, same car and same caravan, amazing! I too towed for the first time this August and I had to pick the windy day to do it! Slow and steady wins the race. The scenic doesn't have the power hence, the same as you, going for the light Alpine, so you couldn't do over 60mph even if you wanted to. Took mine back over Dartford bridge, if pulled well.
How are your electrics? I need some help, want to exchange ideas?
