I cant really speak about the skoda as i've never had one, However i have had a S Max and its the only car i've ever had for 4 years & would of been more than happy to get another one for 4 years i was gutted when it went back, Over the years i've had many Mondeos, Vectra's, Saabs and hot hatches, I can honestly say the S Max was by far the best all round car out of the lot, It's really comfy with a great driving position it's massive and just eats whatever you throw in it, It also drives like it should'nt & returns great fuel economy. it was advertised as the people carrier for those that dont do people carriers

To pitch both these cars together would be hard 1 is around the size of a focus with a boot and the other is a massive people carrier, best bet is to test drive them both.

i've never has a skoda but would 100% take delivery of a new S Max tomorrow

Jeff is you do decide on a Skoda I can highly recommend a dealer .... West End Skoda in Broxburn, Dunfermline and Sighthill ... not very local for you but not too far either. They have looked after me very well indeed.
