You haven't stated if the vehicle is an estate or hatchback but the estate is heavier plus has disc brakes all round whereas the hatchback only has discs on the front and drums on the rear. Having discs on the rear wheels provides better braking power which is a bonus to have. Also the year of vehicle manufacture may differ slightly but based on a MkII Focus estate the details are given below.
Kerbweight = 1429 kgs.
Engine power = 136 BHP
Engine torque = 251 Lbs./ft.
Manual gearbox = 6 speed.
The weight of the caravan being 1042 kgs. sounds very much like the MIRO (unladen weight) but you need to calculate the match based on the MTPLM figure (fully laden weight) which should be displayed below the caravan door. Once you have the MTPLM figure you can then calculate the percentage match of the car's kerbweight and the caravan by using an online calculator below. Using the website what towcar can be somewhat innaccurate from my own experience.
I have towed a caravan with an MTPLM of 1300 kgs. with a 2.0 tdi. estate and found the vehicle more than adequate for performance of hill starts and motorway inclines but you will find it difficult to be able to use the sixth gear whilst towing.
