I used to use a blade stabiliser but found that extra storage space was needed to store it when not in use which is quite heavy and a difficult item to store. The hitch stabiliser can cause creaking if the friction pads and towball are not cleaned before hitching up so it's an extra item that needs to be maintained but the only benefit I found with the blade stabiliser was that it reduced pitching in comparison to a hitch stabiliser. However, having experience of using both types I prefer the hitch type stabiliser.
