Hi all. I have just bought a shogun sport and I now need a set of tow mirrors can anyone suggest a pair that will fit as the wing mirrors are rather large.
Cheers
Steve
It's been a long time back since they fitted mirrors on the wings. I thought all modern vehicles were now manufactured with door mirrors. For a 4x4 these Milenco towing mirrors are probably the best buy.
If your existing mirrors have rubber straps then you can buy longer straps from caravan shops at a fraction of the cost of a new set of mirrors. Try a google
We too had a shogun and found the only mirrors that fitted well and didn't move were pyramid rock steady mirrors which have adjustable screw on fittings and a safety strap.
I use grand aero now but previously used those with rubber straps they do make them for larger and 4x4s but after several years the straps looked a little bit worse for wear so I treated myself to a pair of grand aeros

Any cars with mirrors that have any type of 'step on the top of them will not suit aero / grand aero fixings without buying stepped rubber inserts. Shogun mirrors I cannot comment on, but my Kia Sorento (2013) has a ridge on the top of the mirror and due to that I lost one grand aero as the clamp didn't fix it securely enough. I replaced the grand aeros with the half-the-money milenco rubber strap type towing mirrors and they are ace! Aero or grand aero are god just make sure you have smooth tops to your car mirrors and no steps or ridges otherwise you too will watch your costly investment bounce down the road....
------------- Why am i doing this instead of camping??!!

Operator error perhaps
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I have a Shogun Sport as well and use Milencro AREO MIRRORS that clamp on over the edge of the mirror housing. Trouble is that you have to file down the thickness of the clamps to enable them to fit in the gap between the mirror and housing. Once done though the mirror is secure and has never given me a problem during use. I don't like the strap on jobs at all for the Sport.

------------- No matter where you go....there you are
Another vote for the Grand Aero mirrors here too, best I have ever had. I can also use my car mirrors on the CR-V unlike when I had the Accord because of the limited clearance between the mirror and binnacle.
