Some advice please, we have purchased a 2013 Mondeo hatch which just happens to have the driver assistance pack as an extra, the pack includes 'drivers select suspension' where it is possible to select the ride as Comfort, Normal or Sport mode.
Has anyone towed with this ride dampering facility and have any have you experienced problems with this system. Any advice would be appreciated.
Sorry no, i have a 2011 mondeo with the optional sports suspension and 18" alloys, i've towed with this set up since the car was new with a 1500kg van and have had no problems at all it's a very smoth drive,as the suspension is firmer it doesnt sag at all
Our Mondeo will not have sports suspension just active dampening this I think does not lower the suspension but softens or stiffens the ride depending upon the damper option selected. The rear springs are the standard mondeo set up which I have found in the past to sag a little once loaded, solved by the addition of rubber spring assisters, which begs another question as to whether spring assisters can be fitted when the car has active dampening??? From your comment activating a sport setting whilst towing improves towing stability.
