Sorry to have to agree with the anti LR posts but I work with a load of tin top towers, and 2 of the guys have freelanders and both wish they didn't !! im forever hearing tales of woes, usualy to to with something electrical going wrong ! and not cheap either !
However in the good side of our workshop is a chap who has a 56 plate sorento with 80K on it and apart from the well know fuel tank problem, has had no issues at all, he has towed all over france in the last 2 yrs without any issues at all while our LR owing workmates have been stuck at home !
Id buy a yeti, but that's personal choice as I have had skodas for a long time now, ( and no im not related to bob) but have a look at the Kias and Skodas, but I wouldn't part with over 10 grand for a LR !!!

£10K or 10p?
Anyway, If you want the car that's in your budget / spec etc, you may need to travel...
Don't just look locally / within a certain radius of home....

Good choice, they look like decent cars, and will be a lot more reliable than a LR for sure.

Thanks for that , the added bonus is that it already has a factory fitted Mitsubishi detachable tow bar , which looks as if it hasn't been used, my roof bars from my old Peugeot 307 that I had two years ago, fit the Mitsubishi , so it's ready to roll... Can't wait til Saturday.

I tow with a Freelander 2 great tow car and extremely competent. Had it since August 2013 did a 1,000 mile trip September without a hitch. Good reliable motor. As with most forums people only shout about their car when they go wrong.
All I CAN SAY YOU HAVE BEEN ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES

Not really, you have the original Freelander, not the Freelander 2, Chalk and Cheese.
