Were out in the sticks (Lincolnshire Wolds, and a bit exposed). Roads get left in winter and wifey uses it for work all week.
Feel a lot happier knowing she not going to get stuck if it snows during the day.
I also pull a large heavy trailer along woodland tracks.
I had one of these beasts cheap to buy lot of kit for the money,mine ran on lpg could get it down to 9mpg with a heavy right foot or 18 on a run great fun though

Skoda scout 4x4 tdi will do everything you need, and still return good MPG, a few members on here have them, they have plenty of ground clearance and can tow up to 1600 kg
