If you passed your driving test after 1997 then you are limited to car/caravan of 3.5tonnes gross train weight, ie add together possible max gross weights of car & caravan, if over 3.5tonnes you need to take extra test. If you passed test before '97 then you already have extra licence requirement so you are ok.
For the car & caravan you are considering you should be ok with post '97 licence. 1200kg mgw for caravan, means car needs to be mgw of under 2300kg. I would guess it would be well under but I have no data to confirm.
As pointed out earlier, to be certain you need to consult manufactuer literature however if you are viewing specific car you can check plate under bonnet. it should have weight marked on that, look for a figure probably just over or under 2000.
To clarify the above post each vehicle is plated with the maximum weight that it may be, if you add together the max gross weight plated on the car and the maximum gross weight ( usually referred to as the mtplm) plated on the caravan and the sum is greater than 3500kg then if your licence is dated after 01/09/1997 then you need to pass a further test in order to be licensed to drive the combination. If you ignore that condition then you can be prosecuted for driving without the necessary licence.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
